With an average IMDb score of 5.3 from over 84 horror movies released in 2016 it was a pretty average year for horror movies overall. We got some great ones (Don't Hang Up and Train to Busan) but we also got some serious crap too - just look (or maybe don't) at Forsaken (2016) and American Conjuring (2016) for example.
