With an average IMDb score of 5.8 from over 33 horror movies released in 2009 it was a pretty average year for horror movies overall. We got some great ones (Zombieland and Thirst) but we also got some serious crap too - just look (or maybe don't) at Clownstrophobia (2009) and Haunting of Winchester House (2009) for example.
