With an average IMDb score of 6.1 from over 13 horror movies released in 1977 you could say it was actually a pretty good year for horror movies. Sure there were some duds (The Crater Lake Monster, Tintorera: Killer Shark), but we also got some real gems like Suspiria (1977) and Eraserhead (1977) to name just a few.
