With an average IMDb score of 6.2 from over 32 horror movies released in 1988 you could say it was actually a pretty good year for horror movies. Sure there were some duds (Ghoulies II, Zombi 3), but we also got some real gems like The Vanishing (1988) and They Live (1988) to name just a few.
