With an average IMDb score of 6.5 from over 20 horror movies released in 1982 you could say it was actually a pretty good year for horror movies. Sure there were some duds (Halloween III: Season of the Witch, The Beast Within), but we also got some real gems like The Thing (1982) and Poltergeist (1982) to name just a few.
