A huge part of Halloween is hoarding candy. You can say that it’s for the trick or treaters but we all know it’s for you. Don’t worry we all do it, so here are some horror films to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The Stuff (1985)
Start off with The Stuff (1985), whose antagonist is a marshmallow-like goo. This goo just happens to be delicious and mind controlling! This film looks great- so colourful, well made and an obvious commentary on consumerism and advertisement. The special effects are great too, with some cool face exploding moments. Throw in the random karate moves and left field one liners and you have yourself a really decent popcorn flick.
Ice Cream Man (1995)
Next, we’re moving on to Ice Cream Man (1995), you’ve probably seen the classic picture of a severed head in an ice cream cone before and this film is as crazy as it looks. We have an insane ice cream man who is going around murdering people and mixing them into his ice cream. This movie will have you looking at your friends with a ‘wtf’ face so much that you’re going to feel like your eyes have permanently popped out of your head. It’s worth a watch just for the creative ways severed heads and body parts are used!
Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988)
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Released: 27 May 1988 |
Director: Stephen Chiodo
Aliens who look like clowns come from outer space and terrorize a small town.
If you haven’t gone into a sugar coma yet, great because we have saved the best for last. Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988) has clowns shooting people and turning them into cotton candy. Their other weapons include popcorn and acidic cream pies. As zany as this movie is, they do a great job of the props and costumes! If pennywise still doesn’t creep you out maybe these clowns will as their large size, sharp teeth and cakey makeup puts them high up on our list of horror movie monsters.
We hope these movies enhance your sugar high and make your Halloween candy haul all that more enjoyable. Like our playlist? Make sure to check out our other Halloween playlists too, and remember to share and like.
Happy Halloween from all of us here at HorrorRated.com!
